She’s done all kinds of therapy
The kind I’m never there for
When she’s done I pick her up
She stays silent & I’m still sore
There’s things she won’t tell me
The kind of things I need to know
Without intimacy in our marriage
There’s no trust & nowhere to go
And when we make love she cries
And I think I’ve hurt her so bad
Then I ask her why she’s so upset
And she yells, oh man she gets mad
I don’t know if it’s me who’s the cause
I’m just tired of the many secrets & lies
And all I think about while she’s sleeping
Is why when we make love she cries
Can’t be my tender & soft kisses
Can’t be the way I massage her hot bod
I can’t believe our love is in vain
Or some kind of extravagant facade
Is it something that happened to her
A trauma damaged her so much
That she can’t handle our lovemakin’
Maybe she’s sensitive to my touch
Cause when we make love she cries
And I think I’ve hurt her really bad
Then I ask her why she’s so upset
And she yells, oh man she gets mad
I don’t know if it’s me who’s the cause
I’m just tired of the many secrets & lies
And all I think about while she’s sleeping
Is why when we make love she cries
The sad part is it’s no longer a surprise
When we make our soulbinding love,
No matter where we are, day or night
When we make our sweet, honest love she cries
The love of my life can’t tell me why she cries.
