In The Hamptons

She’s in the Hamptons
Not at Eytan Mirsky’s show
In the Hamptons
No, she didn’t wanna go
She likes him & all his music
It makes her feel alive & free
But she’s in the Hamptons
Makin’ out with me

She’s in the Hamptons
And Eytan’s playin’ tonight
In the Hamptons
She’s holdin’ on to me tight
She’s been a fan for years now
And she gifted me his cd’s
But she’s in the Hamptons
Makin’ out with me

I’m so lucky she’s mine
I wished my whole young life
For this girl’s love & devotion
in this summer place by the ocean
I had an obsession unrequited
And then at a party, she invited
All of us to come over to swim
But not him… Not him…

She’s in the Hamptons
and by golly, so am I
In the Hamptons
with me, the lucky guy
Who gets to hug & squeeze her
Under the bright moonlight
In the Hamptons
Man, she’s out of sight

I’m so lucky she’s mine
Met her one summer long ago
at a Clambake down the road
Thought my heart would explode
All at once passion hit me
That teenage girl was so pretty
Even though my hair needed a trim
She said it reminded her of him

She’s in the Hamptons
Not at Eytan Mirsky’s show
In the Hamptons
No, she didn’t want to go
She’s hangin’ out with me instead
in her queen-size waterbed
Here in the Hamptons
And she’s knockin’ me dead

Yeah, she’s knockin’ me dead

Lyric Notes: Eytan Mirsky inspired me in a post he made on his Facebook page.  Titles definitely stick out when they appear and this was no different.  I was pretty happy with the results but he said it would never happen. Well, it is fictional…. Haha.
