Green Gables

I’ve been wandering through the countryside
With my guitar and my heart open wide
I stumbled upon a place that caught my eye
Where the fields are green and the sky is high

Green Gables, where the flowers bloom
Green Gables, where the heart finds room
Green Gables, where the breeze carries the songs
Green Gables, where the spirit belongs

I walked the paths and felt the peace
Of this little haven where the troubles cease
I talked with the people and heard their tales
Of how it changed lives with its gentle gales

Green Gables, where the flowers bloom
Green Gables, where the heart finds room
Green Gables, where the breeze carries the songs
Green Gables, where the spirit belongs

I sat down on a bench and strummed my guitar
And let the music flow, like a shooting star
I felt the magic of this magical place
Where nature’s beauty and kindness embrace

Green Gables, where the flowers bloom
Green Gables, where the heart finds room
Green Gables, where the breeze carries the songs
Green Gables, where the spirit belongs

Green Gables, I’ll be back someday
To this place that healed my soul in every way
And I’ll sing my songs and tell my tales
Of Green Gables where the spirit prevails
