Unfunny Boy

His jokes always made them squirm
They thought he was so bizarre
His family predicted he'd be miserable
on his quest to be a comedy star

Unfunny boy
He was an unfunny boy
Mischieviously sour
He was lonely and dour
Unfunny boy

His heart wasn't a good match
for the girls in high school
Teachers said he'd be forever cursed
as an easily forgettable fool

Unfunny boy
He was an unfunny boy
Mischieviously sour
He was lonely and dour
Unfunny boy

But he got in touch with what they never understood
In college he took the stage at a talent show
If he hadn’t, all his classmates back home
Would be clueless and never know
They’d never know…

How he turned it all around
With a mic and a spotlight, he found
His humor and wit, a newfound crown
And laughter became his playground

Funny boy
Now he's a funny boy
Cheeky and bright
Every joke, just right
Funny boy

From the shadows, he emerged
With punchlines that made the audience surge
He conquered the stage with laughter's dirge
No longer just an unfunny urge

So here's to the boy who dared to dream
To the laughter that made his soul beam
From unfunny to a comedy stream
So comfortable in the spotlight's gleam

Funny boy
Our forever funny boy
With laughter he'd toy
Bringing so much joy
Funny boy
